Description:
The Fiber Optic Photo Diode Pickup System is supplied with the Velocity Tracking Correllator, Model 102BF. This Pickup System is an in-line light sensing device made to attach to the input port of a standard vidicon video camera allowing one to align the pickup fibers over a vessel in the microscope field of view.

Features:
Fiber pipes obscure less than 5% of vidicon aperture area and may be moved in or out of the field by convenient control. With a microscope field of view magnified 200 times, the fibers appear 10 microns in diameter spaced approximately 15 microns apart.

Special Requirements:
This Fiber Optic Photometer requires a pure line ripple free light source for microscope illumination. Any line rate ripple present in light source will mask the R.B.C. signals of interest, preventing velocity measurement.
