Description:
The #112 Velocity Calibration Wheel may be purchased as an accessory to the Velocity Tracking Correlator, Model 102. This calibration is an optical in-line calibration device made to be used with a standard microscope.

Operation:
User supplied blood smear is placed on a rotatable lucite disc which models the RBC vessel signatures through the microvessel system. This allows the operator to determine the exact linear velocity of the wheel which allows the Correlator to be calibrated.

Special Requirement:
Requires a pure ripple free light source for microscopic illumination. Any line ripple present in light source will mask the RBC signals of interest, preventing velocity measurement.
